To ensure its network could cope with the increasing amount of traffic created by such activities, Northampton Borough Council partnered with Computacenter to embark on a major upgrade of its cabling infrastructure.

As a result of the project, the council’s network is now 100 times faster, which has had a significant impact on overall efficiency. The network’s improved performance and resilience will also support the council’s future e-government initiatives, and new applications to help ensure compliance with the Freedom of Information Act.
