Virtual learning has become an important feature of the educational landscape. Maintaining online studying services, however, requires both a reliable and scalable IT infrastructure.

To ensure it could guarantee the availability of its virtual learning environment and other core applications, The Robert Gordon University decided to overhaul its datacentre systems.

With Computacenter’s help, the university rolled out a new storage, backup and virtualised server infrastructure, which has greatly enhanced performance and business continuity. As well as helping to improve operational efficiency, the upgraded infrastructure will also enable RGU to reduce its IT overheads.
