Computacenter today announced that it has achieved Symantec Specialisations in the areas of High Availability and Storage Management. Symantec Specialisations recognise partners with a proven expertise in specific technology areas and ensure they have the skills and experience required to deliver differentiated service to customers. As the result of these achievements, Computacenter is the first Symantec partner in the UK to achieve a total of six Symantec specialisations, highlighting the breadth of solutions that it can offer to its customers.
Bill McGloin, Practice Leader for Storage and Data Optimisation at Computacenter, commented: "Our partnership with Symantec enables us to provide our customers with effective and efficient support to help them select and deploy appropriate solutions to meet business demands."
By achieving this Specialisation, Computacenter has demonstrated an investment and expertise in Symantec High Availability and Storage Management. With these Specialisations, Computacenter will be able to better meet the needs of its customers by delivering high-value solutions to protect and manage their information.
"The High Availability and Storage Management Specialisations have been designed to recognise partners' investment in Symantec and reward their expertise in the high availability and storage management markets," said Jason Ellis, vice president, EMEA Channel Sales at Symantec. "Specialised partners have demonstrated an ability to deliver solutions and services that keep their customers' data and applications continuously available. The range of Specialisations achieved by Computacenter to date highlight not only its valued commitment to Symantec but also the breadth of the Symantec portfolio that it covers and the resulting range of issues that it helps its customers to address."
Symantec Specialisations, which recognise partners with a proven expertise in a particular area of business, provide partners with the skills and experience required to deliver differentiated service to their customers. Symantec partners achieve Specialisation by meeting certain requirements, primarily training that has been fully accredited by Symantec technical specialists, that deepen their knowledge and proficiency in a solution family, and Specialised Symantec partners receive exclusive benefits as a result of their investment.
In addition to its new Specialisations in High Availability and Storage Management, Computacenter holds Specialisations in Archiving and eDiscovery, Data Protection, Enterprise Security, and Small Business. Computacenter is also a Master Specialist in Archiving and eDiscovery and in Data Protection. Symantec Master Specialisation recognises partners who exhibit deep consultative and technical support expertise. These partners showcase advanced capabilities in selling, delivering and servicing throughout the consulting engagement lifecycle.
